Finishhhedddd!!!
I finally finished my review!
So here it is.....
Bleak House
This movie is a stunning production about a lawsuit, Jarndyce and Jarndyce. Running for years on end, Jarndyce and Jarndyce has ruined many wards of the case by driving them mad with suspense. Ada Clare and Richard Carstone, with Ada's companion Esther Summerson, are drawn into the case, for better, or for worse. Bleak House features a startlingly different array of wonderfully cast characters, from the angelically good Esther Summerson, to the mean and small-minded Mr. Smallweed. I would have to say that my favorite characters are Guppy, Mr Smallweed, and Esther Summerson. I honestly don't know where they found people that were so amazingly perfect for their characters. Mr Guppy was wonderful. He was a bumbling, awkward, and very repulsive man who falls head over heels for Esther Summerson. You'd have to see the movie to know what I'm talking about, but he is really one of the most comic characters in this movie, and Burn Gorman was just made for the part. the same can also be said for Mr. Smallweed. Phil Davis executed a masterful performance of the notorious man who particularly enjoys tormenting General George (a character that lives in his own training room and owes a great deal of money to Mr. Smallweed) with his debts. He is carried about in a chair and, although a cruel man, he is one of my favorite and also another really funny/quirky character. My favorite line of his is "Shake me up Judy" (referring to his granddaughter having to shake him when she sets him down in his chair to get himself all settled). Finally, there is Esther. In the book, she was a little too "sticky-sweet," but she has much more character in the movie and was played excellently by Anna Maxwell Martin. Not only was the acting in this movie superb, the production overall was amazing. After I saw it for the second time, I noticed things about it that were pretty cool. The scene changes kind of foreshadowed connections between characters. For example, there might be a quick switch to from Nemo to Lady Deadlock to Esther which hinted at howLady Deadlock had had an illegitimate child by Nemo (Esther). Also, the music was amazing! I loved the music to the scene where Sir Lecster Deadlock is by the grave of his wife, Lady Deadlock. It's not too sentimental and soppy, it's just perfect. I love the trumpet solo, which is kind of sad and dignified. Anyway, I adored this movie and rate it five stars!

Update!
So, I did have fun playing jazz on Saturday and I didn't ruin the ensemble for everyone else so that was good! Also, i had a Williamsport Youth Symphony concert last night. I didn't really have fun because, while it is made up of supposedly "the best" high school musicians from the area, we were pretty bad! It's not like we couldn't play it, it just had no life (as my dad put it and I agree). We didn't have any sense of how to play it and it sounded really dull and boring. I remember we played about five measures really well once in rehearsal and I had chills and goosebumps because it was so good! We never did anything like that again though. I think we might have been better if we had had proper sectionals. Usually they bring in specialized instructors and we break up into our separate sections to work on refining our parts, but this year they only divided us into strings and winds/brass/percussion and i know we didn't get the help we needed. We had also just switched directors, and while the person we got was really good, I don't think he was quite right for the group. We had problems adjusting to him. But anyway, it was better than our school orchestra so I guess it was a good experience. I am almost done writing my review which is good. I watched the movie ages ago so I don't remember everything perfectly, but I remember most of it.

I am still working on writing a review for Bleak House.. I havent had much time because of homework and stuff so yeahhhhhh. I also have been really busy playing jazz with my sister because I'm going to be jamming with her and some other people on Saturday and I am really awful and need to practice... Her drum teacher Phil is coming over and he is really intimidating and i don't want to look like the idiot i am hahaha. I will try to finish my review this weekend though.

I will not be working on my goal today because I have three tests tomorow to study for and I NEED to study! I don't have that far to go though. I'm trying to persuade my parents to let me get my own netflix account instead of using theirs, but they think I would watch movies all the time and not pracice and do my homework so that's probably not happening.
